Position Overview
Wajax Industries is looking for a qualified candidate to join our fast-paced sales team as a Crane and Utilities Sales Representative in the Mississauga
, Ontario
area. The Crane and Utilities Sales Representative will focus on selling Palfinger and Elliott cranes and will generate revenue by developing market potential through prospecting, lead generation, qualification, recommending products/solutions/services and closing sales. As a business professional you will work an assigned territory to consistently identify new business opportunities and continued growth with existing customers. You will analyze customer needs and wants and provide solutions for their crane and utilities inquiries. The sell will be on value as you use a consultative, customer-focused sales approach that is unique to our industry and sets us apart. You will be expected to meet or exceed the projected dollar volumes in terms of sales and profitability, as well as meeting the sales activity requirements.
Duties
You will promote all facets of our business and be versed with all products and services offered by Wajax Industries plus communicate with colleagues to maximize penetration into the marketplace. You will posses strong problem identification and objective resolution skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers. Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills are a must for success in this position. You will need to generate quotes and sales orders utilizing Microsoft Outlook as well as secure written quotes and information required from service, parts and outside sources so you can prepare customer quotes accurately and with confidence. You will need to understand the finance process and programs available and work with finance companies in securing funds for secured deals and following through until payment is submitted.
Qualifications
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in equipment sales and/or industrial sales in a competitive, outside sales environment is a requirement of the role. A working knowledge of the construction industry and a mechanical background is considered a significant asset.
The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of the sales process within the construction industry, focusing on customer satisfaction - candidates who are responsive and empathetic to customer needs.
You must be a self-starter with a good work ethic, self-discipline, persistence and good time-management skills. Professional presentation and organizational skills, as well as excellent PC and problem solving abilities are pertinent to the role. We are looking for sales professionals who can function independently.
